How to Use
Make Dashi/Stock: Add a small piece (about 5cm×5cm) of the whole Kelp blade to a litre of cold water. Gently heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Remove the Kelp before the water boils to prevent bitterness. Use this golden broth as a base for miso, ramen, or any soup.
Tenderise Legumes: Add a strip of Kelp to the pot when cooking beans, lentils, or pulses. It not only adds minerals but also helps tenderise them and makes them easier to digest.
Flavour Roasts: Wrap fish, chicken, or vegetables in a rehydrated Kelp blade before steaming or roasting to lock in moisture and infuse a gentle oceanic flavour.
Crispy Snack: Lightly toast small pieces in a dry pan until crispy, then crumble over rice or vegetable dishes for a mineral-rich garnish.
