BBQ Seaweed Rub

Our BBQ Seaweed Rub brings together all those familiar barbecue flavours you love - smokey paprika, sweet borrow sugar, onion, mustard and garlic - with the umami richness of Guernsey seaweeds.  Seaweeds such as kelp and dulse have a strong meaty flavour that perfectly complements the BBQ spices, creating depth that traditional rubs simply can't match.  Whether you're grilling outside in summer or slow-roasting in the over during autumn and winter, this versatile rub works beautifully on meat and vegetables alike.   

Ideas for use:

• Rub generously on ribs, brisket or pork shoulder before cooking
• Season burgers (beef, lamb, chicken or plant-based) before grilling
• Coast chicken pieces before roasting or barbecuing
• Mix into mince for flavourful meatballs or burgers
• Season portobello mushrooms, cauliflower or aubergine before grilling
• Sprinkle over sweet potato wedges or chips before roasting
• Add depth to baked beans
• Season tofu or tempeh before cooking
• Mix with oil to create a marinade
• Add to pulled pork or jackfruit
  
• Use as an alternative taco flavouring
