What to Expect on Your Tour

Our seaweed foraging tours offer a deep dive into the world of "vraic" (the Guernésiais word for seaweed) and its many applications.

Educational Experience: Learn about the rich history of seaweed in Guernsey and its many uses across various industries, including cosmetics, farming, cooking, and fashion.
Hands-On Learning: This is a truly immersive experience where you will have the opportunity to:
- Eat multiple types of fresh seaweed straight from the beach.
- Try a seaweed moisturiser from the Guernsey Seaweed product range.
- Explore the beach at low tide.

Tour Details


Duration	Approximately 1.5 hours
Location	Port Soif, Guernsey (Tours meet in the upper car park above the Kiosk)
Availability	Tours run seasonally from March to October, dependent on tides and weather
Cost (Organised Tours)	£25 per adult.

Children's Policy	One child (under 15 years) can attend for free with one paying adult.
